I was born and raised in the Olney section of Philadelphia, PA. I graduated from Cardinal Dougherty High School, where I was a member of the boys’ soccer team and the boys’ track and field team. I then went on to attend and graduate from DeSales University with a Bachelors of Science from the Business Department. At DeSales University, I was also a member of the mens’ track and field team, as well as the President of the Sports Management Society.

I went on to accept a position as graduate assistant track coach at Widener University. While at Widener University, I received my Master’s of Education in Counselor Education. After the completion of my Master’s Degree, I worked at CORA Services as a Family Preservation Coordinator at one of their Beacon Center sites.

I was the Lead Counselor at South Philadelphia High School for seven years.
My biggest success in education has been helping four students in seven years get awarded the Gates Millennium Scholarship, a very competitive scholarship that pays in full for twenty-five years of post-secondary education. I was instrumental in making sure students had the application in on time as well as writing letters of recommendations for them. In 2014 when I was the counselor for the senior class we had a 98% college going rate #2 in the city of Philadelphia of Neighbored Schools.

During my tenure as Lead Counselor at South Philadelphia High School; I essentially performed the many of the duties of a vice principal. In order to introduce our freshmen students to proper academic habits, and to promote respectful behavior as well, we isolated the 9th grade students into the Freshmen Academy. I was deeply involved in developing the academic curriculum, as well as special programs to help the students mature intellectually and as members of the community. I was also responsible for implementing many of those programs. Although my technical position was counselor, I was given authority as an administrator and was viewed by the students and faculty as such.

I was then assigned to Widener Memorial School where I counseled the areas students with most complex medical and fragility needs.

I am currently an Assistant Principal at Springfield Township High School. Where I am in charge of Student Activities, as well as other duties.

I served as a part-time Lecturer at Gwynedd Mercy University in their Graduate School of Education.

Education is something that has always excited me, I consider it my vocation a way of life, not just a job or career. I give everything I have to the students and school that I am working for.
